This Giving Tuesday, on December 3rd, 2024, we invite you to join Western Youth Services in kicking off our annual fundraising campaign, Giving Hope, Saving Lives. Giving Tuesday, a global movement established in 2012, encourages people and organizations to make a positive impact in their communities and through charitable giving. Recognized every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this significant day welcomes generosity by inspiring individuals to give back, support meaningful causes, and nurture lasting change.
For us here at WYS, Giving Tuesday marks the beginning of a season that is dedicated to uplifting Orange County youth and families by highlighting the exponential impact of mental health services and resilience-building programs. Our Giving Hope, Saving Lives campaign was created to provide essential funding for these services, ensuring we can continue offering transformative programs like Super Resilient® Youth, which gives youth the tools needed for growth, resilience, and mental well-being.
About Our Giving Hope, Saving Lives Campaign
Each year, our annual fundraising campaign helps us to provides pivotal assistance for the full range of services we offer to Orange County’s youth and families. Through counseling, community education, and preventative programs, we reach thousands of young people with resources that strengthen mental health, build resilience, and foster hope. This season, we plan to expand these efforts even further, addressing the rising mental health needs of local at-risk youth.
The Power of Your Support: How Donations for Mental Health Make a Difference
With every dollar you donate to our Giving Hope, Saving Lives campaign, we’re able to:
- Increase access to mental health services for youth and families in need – Making mental health support accessible ensures that no young person has to face their struggles alone.
- Expand resilience-building, preventative programs like Super Resilient® Youth – Through this program, we equip young people with essential life skills and coping strategies to overcome life’s challenges and become more resilient.
- Provide guidance and resources for families navigating adversity – We believe that a strong support system is essential for a child’s success, and we’re committed to supporting families on this journey.
According to the California Health Care Foundation, more than 1 in 5 youth in California face mental health challenges each year, underscoring the urgent need for accessible mental health support. Your donation – no matter the size – will help us keep our impactful services available to Orange County youth, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
